AdBlue – Euro 6 standards

DIESEL EXHAUST FLUID (DEF) or AdBlue
DEF also called AdBlue®; is a Euro 6 emission standard. It is a non-toxic, colorless, odorless, and non-flammable mixture of urea and de-ionized water injected into the exhaust system to clean exhaust Carbon and gases.
Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology has been fitted to all Land Rover diesel vehicles since Sept 2015; It enables Land Rover to reduce the levels of Nitrogen Oxide (NOx) emitted from the exhaust system by up to 90%.
In addition to a new generation of catalytic converters, SCR Technology requires using DEF whenever needed.
